Warmer Homes Scheme

This project, managed by the SEAI, involves improving the energy efficiency and warmth of homes owned by the elderly and people on low incomes throughout Ireland. Energy upgrade works have been completed on over 1500 houses while the houses remained occupied. As part of this project energy upgrade measures such as attic insulation, cavity wall insulation, draft proofing to windows, doors and attic hatches, lagging jackets, Building Energy Rating (BERs) and provision of energy advice, replacing light bulbs with energy efficient CFL bulbs are completed. On completion of each batch, the homes are audited by independent quality representatives to ensure the works have been completed to the highest standard and specification as outlined. Townlink have completed phases 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, and are currently working on phase 8a of this project.
