Beaumont Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department Redevelopment

The redevelopment of the Nuclear Medicine department at Beaumont Hospital was carried out in two phases within the live hospital environment. It involved the internal reconfiguration of the department to form new offices from an existing patient waiting area and waste storage cubicle and the formation of a new expanded Nuclear Medicine Suite. Phase two of the project involved shutting down the existing suite for 11 weeks to facilitate the construction of two new scan rooms plus a shared control room. The new suite also provides for multiple radio pharmacy laboratories plus two hot store injection rooms, patient waiting and a disabled toilet.
