Sandford Park is one of Townlink’s current live projects. The works will include the construction of a new two storey classroom block and ancillary block including associated mechanical and electrical works.
The new school house includes 10 new classrooms, internal and external gathering spaces, a small auditorium, rehearsal spaces and music rooms for students. The building will be brick and timber build and located adjacent to a large outdoor covered space. The core of the building will feature a large social space which links the two storeys and the outdoor playing areas.
The design of the build will accommodate wide corridors allowing for maximum natural light penetration, creating a bright open space for students and staff. The windows will be at a high level and the roof will highlight the buildings Douglas Fir wooden trusses. The building was designed to highlight the existing architecture of Ranelagh village and the existing school buildings, while providing a sharp modern design.
