Planner – Intermediate Level

Position Overview:
This position is to be based in Dublin. An attractive package is on offer for the right candidate.

The key responsibilities shall be but not limited to the following:

Programme Development & Control:

1. Development of the tender programme, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. All elements to be fully logic linked and have a critical path.
2. Provide all programme information as required to support the management team.
3. To develop a tender programme narrative and represent the sequence of build, phasing and logistics.
4. To assist in the preparation of a construction (target) programme highlighting areas of improvement against the contract programme.
5. To engage with the supply chain to develop the project programme with regards to design, lead-in’s, construction periods, plant & labour requirements.
6. To prepare risk and opportunities for construction programme.

Reporting, progress, and as built information:

1. Update project programmes/target programmes on a weekly / fornightly basis by gathering information from project sites.
2. Provide lookahead schedules.
3. Develop tracking and monitoring schedules for productivity of various trades working at project sites.
4. Assist in development and application of Last Planner System for efficient project planning and implementation.
5. Assist in preparation of as built schedules

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

1. Degree / PG Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
2. Minimum Experience of 2-3 years working as a Junior Planner
3. Working Knowledge of Asta Powerproject /Primavera P6/ Microsoft Project programming software. Certification for use of planning and programme software will be an added advantage.
4. Successful track record of working with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders on live construction projects. Experience of working within a team.
