Project Summary: Commencing on site in early 2026, Townlink Construction is acting as the Main Contractor for the comprehensive repair and restoration of the Donore Youth and Community Centre on behalf of Dublin City Council. Following a devastating fire in 2021, this project represents far more than a structural repair; it is the vital restoration of a central community hub. The works will bring the building back to life, ensuring it returns stronger, safer, and fully equipped to serve the local residents and youth groups of Dublin 8 into the future.
Project Scope and Key Deliverables:
Fire Damage Restoration: Extensive structural repair and meticulous refurbishment of the existing building fabric to recover the facility from significant fire damage.
Modernisation & Upgrades: Complete overhaul of the building to meet modern regulatory standards, improving fire safety, accessibility, and overall operational efficiency.
Community-Centric Delivery: Delivering a secure and highly functional space designed specifically to support local youth services, community programmes, and local group activities.
Collaborative Design Integration: Working in close partnership with a highly experienced design team—including Cotter & Naessens Architects and PUNCH Consulting Engineers—to solve complex restoration challenges efficiently.
